I have just learned that a NZ citizen’s wife is having to leave her husband behind in NZ so that he can pay for the expensive costs of moving his wife and 6 year old daughter to Colorado so that their daughter can receive CBD oil to treat her epilepsy.
It is absolutely crazy that in this day and age this sort of breach of human rights can occur as a result of unjust, ignorant laws and drug policy and their unjust, ignorant penalties if broken; it is not only crazy, unjust and ignorant, it is cruel and very, very wrong.
Why should a family have to be split up like this? Why should a husband and father be denied his family because of our stupid politicians and their insane and unjust laws? Why should a wife be denied the physical presence and support of her husband at such a crucial time? Why should a small child be denied the presence of her father at such a crucial time? And why, in the name of liberty and justice, do we obey these unjust laws that threaten our health, our family unity and, in some cases of ill health, our very lives themselves?
This compassion for other people, and the anger it arouses when you think of all that hard work and money that could be spent on what it is intended for – to provide food and shelter for your family and to create a lovely home together – is wasted, makes me bubble with fury. I fully agree, support and understand the position of those activists who are prepared to go to the greatest lengths of shutting down courts to circumvent injustice and stop cruel and insane sentencing from unjust laws, as well as the government offices such as the Ministry of Health who are completely deaf and blind to these people’s lives, in order to make these idiot bureaucrats listen.
The American Revolution against Great Britain began first and foremost over hemp and the British tax laws over this product when the British Government acted in self-interest and ignorance, refusing to budge or listen to the colonials in the New World.
The people of New Zealand should also be revolting against our own government and their insane laws and policy about cannabis; laws and policy that prohibit our NZ citizens their immediate, natural and God-given rights to the liberties that are theirs unhindered by other people to grow a plant to provide medicinal cannabis for their own and their family’s health that would cost them nothing but time and pleasure in the garden to tend it.
